“The ABCs of Prevention and Fitness . . .” system is the basic component of all Thera-Fitness, Inc. programs. Our “ABCs . . .” approach stands out because it provides education and training in a way that is simple, safe and effective — serious learning with a high fun quotient!

Older Adults and Caregivers
As a caregiver, you are responsible for the care and safety of both yourself and your patient. “The ABCs . . . ” training will improve your ability to provide that care and has many benefits for both the older adult and the caregiver. You will learn how to safely bend, lift, transfer and walk with patients, thereby decreasing the risk of falls and injuries and you will learn techniques to increase strength, balance, and flexibility – all great skills to improve overall fitness, function, and well-being for both of you!
For older adults, learning the 5-steps of “The ABCs . . .” system promotes reduced stress and improved overall function. Included in older adult training’s, are techniques for managing “fear-of-falling,” as well as key methods for helping to prevent falls.
Regardless of the healthcare setting, all staff members are required to learn safe bending, lifting, carrying and transferring skills. Thera-Fitness-sponsored training help healthcare professionals and facilities reduce injuries to patients and staff, as well as help prevent falls and improve patient fitness and function.
“The Basic Moves” component of “The ABCs . . .” system reinforces correct body mechanics during these tasks, as well as providing techniques that ensure optimum performance of these tasks.
